The Benefits Of An Anonymous LLC

May 28th, 2021 cedric luis Law 0 comments

Companies are always being formed around the world. There are different types of companies that should be able to meet the needs and expectations of the founders.

As the name suggests an anonymous llc is a limited liability company that does not disclose the identities of the founders to the public.

Founders can form an anonymous LLC through consulting with a law firm. The law firm will work tooth and nail to ensure that the identity of the founder remains private and secure.

One may wonder why would you form a company and hide your identity?

Security: Owning a company comes with a lot of risks especially if the company is a huge success. The founders likely become targets hence having an anonymous identity ensures that the safety of the founder is there. If anyone wished to harm the founders, they would not know where to start since only the law firm knows the identity of the founders.

Discretion: Having an anonymous LLC ensures that all those partaking in the deal have their identities protected thus reputation is protected no matter what happens. This comes in handy especially if it is a risky deal that might lead to losses.

Peace and tranquility: Being a public figure is not an easy task especially because one would have to keep up a public appearance and people would always be aware of all your activities. However, as a public figure, you may have wanted to start a company and keep it a secret. You will then be forced to create an anonymous llc just to maintain the peace and tranquility of that particular company.

Lawsuits: Many company founders are slapped with lawsuits due to certain issues. Having your name associated with the company would mean that your name also gets dragged through the mud together with the company especially if the public is aware of the association. An anonymous LLC not only protects you from lawsuits but also protects your reputation.

With the above benefits in mind, another crucial question is asked; what are the requirements for one to form an anonymous LLC?

The first thing is that the founder is in a state that allows the formation of such companies. Some of the states that allow the formation of such companies include New Mexico, Delaware, Wyoming, and Nevada.

For one to form an anonymous LLC they would have to follow the normal procedure that would have been used to form a normal LLC. After the formation of the LLC the founder can have their names hidden by following these steps;

  • Establish many companies. This would help your LLC in the long run since it would be under one of the many companies that you own. It would be tedious for people to associate your name with the LLC.
  • You can register yourself as a recipient of the gains of the company. This would ensure that the public will not be aware of your relationship with the company. However, this method is not completely safe since one can dig deeper and find the connection.
  • When creating the LLC, the company should be registered with a different address to protect the founder’s address.

Having an anonymous llc is suitable especially for those people who wish to keep their identities hidden. Public figures especially should consider participating in this especially if they want to maintain their privacy in that particular field.
